Belmont colts u15 boys vs Tenbury United FC – U15 Tigers
Final Score: Won 4-1
Player of the Match: Not specified
Coach’s Summary: *”Belmont Colts 4β1 Tenbury United
Today we faced a tricky Tenbury side who have shown mixed form this season. We started well and played most of the football in their half. As the game grew, we began to find joy down the wings β Oscar fired a ball across the six-yard box that somehow nobody managed to connect with, and Jenson was a constant threat down the right. His effort was superbly tipped onto the post by the Tenbury keeper, who then pulled off another outstanding save from Josh, and yet again denied Jenson as his shot hit the post and bounced straight back into her arms.
Half-time: 0β0
At the break we told the lads to stay patient and not force passes. We restarted brightly, but to Tenburyβs credit they stayed compact, looked organised, and were physical β difficult to break down. Around 10 minutes into the second half, after some neat one-twos on the edge of the box, Alfie broke through 1v1 and finished calmly to make it 1β0.
With momentum building, five minutes later Jenson won a free-kick from 30 yards, picked himself up, and smashed it past the despairing keeper for 2β0. We looked comfortable, perhaps too comfortable, and got caught high up the pitch β Tenbury broke and a speculative effort found its way past Harry to make it 2β1.
But we werenβt letting our unbeaten run go that easily. After a great team move from back to front, Jenson was too quick in the box and brought down. Alfie stepped up and confidently sent the keeper the wrong way for 3β1. From there, we controlled the game and with just minutes left, Jenson shifted the ball 25 yards out and thundered a strike in off the bar to seal it.
Full-time: 4β1
Another brilliant performance to keep us top of the league and still unbeaten.
A special mention to Leon and Lacie on their debuts β both were excellent. Lacie impressed with her communication despite not knowing anyone yet, and her quality on the ball was clear to see. Leon worked hard to link play and bring others into the game.
Well done boys and girls ππ β on to next week! πͺβ½”*
Wanderer’s Word: What a dominant display by the Colts! A fantastic team effort and well deserved win! Although, we didn’t receive any photos from the game, so get them uploaded to the portal parents!
Belmont Hammers vs Westfields Youth
Final Score: Lost 12-1
Player of the Match: Ricko
Coach’s Summary: *”So the Hammers went to the Academy to face Westfields after last weekβs self destruction we challenged them to show up and do the hard yards.
Westfields started brightly and within 7 mins we found ourselves 2-0 down the afternoon didnβt get any better, some of our defending was very questionable.
We went in at half time 7-0 down the game was over we asked them to put some pride back into the shirt and win the second half but we hit the self destruct button again and the scoreline got worse.
We did however manage to get on the scoresheet when Lola latched on to a pass inside the box and Lola did what she does best and slotted past their keeper for her weekly Hammers goal.
We are having a difficult time of things lately but itβs only going to make us stronger in the future we just need to stick together.
I do however need to mention Ricko dispute conceding 12 was brave coming off his line, making some fantastic saves to keep the scoreline down and got high praise from the Westfields coach staff.”*
Wanderer’s Word: It was a tough day at the office for the Hammers, but they never gave up! A special mention to Ricko, whose bravery and skill in goal was truly commendable! Hold your heads high, Hammers, and come back stronger! Get those pictures up, we love seeing the team spirit!
Belmont Bullets U13 Girls vs other
Final Score: Won 0-6
Player of the Match: Hallie
Coach’s Summary: *”Our first proper away game today for the Bullets to a new venue finally in Gloucester. All the girls arrived nice and early ready for the game so we were well prepared and already had one over the opposition.
We started spritely on the front foot with plenty of the ball, it took a few minutes for us to get into the game but it was evident the girls wanted this more than the home
team.
On 5 minutes Lexi found Jess who unleashed a shot from outside the box which beat the keeper to start things off.
The football today was good our passing game was back for sure some lovely link up play in parts and we were certainly going in the right direction. On a few occasions we lacked the finesse of actually finding players, it was more of a hit and hope and punt the ball in the general direction, but Iβm convinced we will get back to where we were on the smaller pitch.
It took a while for us to get our second another struck from Jess who was enjoying her game today πͺπΌβ½οΈ
At times we had to juggle things around a little as we only had one substitute.
We had a third goal just before half time a corner whipped in from Lola for Kallie to find the back of the net π₯
Half Time: 0-3 β½οΈβ½οΈβ½οΈ
Second half we switched things up. We had planned to at some point today and it seemed right. So we pushed Maizy up top and brought Lola back into midfield with giving Ruby some freedom on the wing.
Lexi was soon to find the back of the net with some link up play from Maizy and Kallie. And finally Maizy got her fist goal in the league quickly followed by her second. It was evident this gave her a massive boost in confidence which was great to see.
Ruby on that right wing had a great turn of pace, beating a few players, and struck a great strike only for it to be pulled wide, keep it up Ruby, it will come ππΌ
Libby had a great game today not only a clean sheet but some great reading of the game again closing down and also Jess for her first Brace this season πͺπΌ
Game Finished:

Oppositions POM went today to Kallie well done, all those runs were definitely noticed by those defenders.
Coaches players of the match went to Hallie for an outstanding game, not one foot put wrong today she was tracking back mopping up everything at the back.
Also to Maizy, was great to see her grab a couple of goals and an assist today well done Maizy-Rae πͺπΌ
Back up to second in the league. Next week home against third so we have to show Dursley what the Bullets are about.

Wanderer’s Word: What an incredible performance from the Bullets! Goals galore, a clean sheet, and a well-deserved victory! Hallie, you were a rock at the back! The Bullets are firing on all cylinders! Get the action shots up, parents!
Belmont Wanderers Ladies vs Westfields Ladies
Final Score: Won 7-1
Player of the Match: Amelie
Coach’s Summary: *”Belmont Wanderers Ladies Conquer Westfields in Thrilling Away Encounter!
The Belmont Wanderers Ladies crossed the river yesterday for a spirited clash against Westfields, a team always known for putting up a tough fight! Despite Westfields facing the challenge of playing with only ten players, they came out of the blocks with incredible energy, grabbing an early goal that signaled a potentially difficult afternoon for our Wanderers. For a short spell, they looked like they wanted it more.
But our Belmont ladies are made of strong stuff! Responding with true grit and determination, they quickly found their rhythm and turned the tide of the match. Lydia ignited the comeback with a fantastic goal, setting the stage for a dazzling display of attacking football. Nicole then stepped up, bagging a brilliant brace, with her second goal being an absolute screamer β a true contender for goal of the season! The shot was powerful!
The game flowed back and forth, with Westfields showing incredible resilience and heart despite being a player down. They deserve immense credit for their unwavering effort and never-say-die attitude. But our ladies continued to press their advantage, with Lydia adding three more goals to her tally, securing a phenomenal four-goal haul! And of course, our ever-reliable captain, Ellie, etched her name on the score sheet as well, adding another goal to her impressive record.
A huge shoutout goes to Amelie, who was deservedly awarded Player of the Match for her outstanding performance in midfield. Her tireless work rate and intelligent play were instrumental in our victory. We must also give the Playmaker Award to Katie M, whose superb vision and pinpoint passing consistently unlocked the Westfields defence and created countless opportunities for our forwards. Well done to both!
Next week, we hit the road again to face Lads Club away. After this brilliant team performance we are sure the ladies are going to feel confident going into next week’s game!
What a performance, ladies! You showed incredible character, teamwork, and skill to overcome a challenging opponent. We’re all incredibly proud of you!

Wanderer’s Word: The Belmont Ladies were on fire! A fantastic comeback victory showcasing their skill, determination, and teamwork! Amelie, you were a force in midfield! What a performance ladies!
Belmont U13 Boys vs Ludlow Town FC
Final Score: Won 6-1
Player of the Match: Bailey
Coach’s Summary: *”Belmont Wanderers U13s Conquer Ludlow After Fiery Second Half Display!
Our Belmont Wanderers U13 squad journeyed to Ludlow yesterday, buzzing with confidence and eager for a thrilling league encounter! While the pitch dimensions and smaller goals presented a unique challenge β not exactly playing to our usual strengths β the boys were ready to battle.
The first half began a little sluggishly, and we have to admit, we were fortunate not to concede early on. Our passing was uncharacteristically off, and it seemed like the lads needed a wake-up call! But then, step forward our inspirational captain, Jake! With sheer determination, he powered through to find the back of the net, easing the tension and igniting a spark in the team. From that point on, we unleashed a barrage of shots, but the Ludlow keeper was in inspired form, pulling off save after save. We were experimenting with a new 3-4-3 formation, and although the first half was challenging, there were glimpses of brilliance that we can definitely build upon.
At half-time, a frank discussion took place. While the scoreboard showed a 1-0 lead, we knew we hadn’t been at our best. The message was clear: “We need to play like we’re 2 or 3 goals down! Show me what you’re truly capable of!”
And boy, did they respond! The second half saw a transformation! The Belmont Wanderers warriors emerged, playing with passion, grit, and an unwavering commitment to each other. Bailey, showcasing his electrifying pace, found himself through on goal before being brought down by a clumsy challenge, resulting in a penalty. Cool as a cucumber, Bailey stepped up and calmly slotted the ball past the keeper β what composure! 2-0!
Then it was Stanley’s turn to shine! Continuing his scoring streak, Stanley unleashed a fantastic strike, extending our lead. The boys were buzzing, feeding off each otherβs energy!
Ludlow managed to pull one back, making it 3-1. But that only served to further fuel our fire! Enter Leo! Bursting with energy and clearly determined to earn those new football boots, Leo exploded onto the scene, netting not one, not two, but THREE goals! A sensational hat-trick, leaving the Ludlow defence reeling!
The final whistle blew, confirming a 6-1 victory! While the second-half performance was outstanding, the first half serves as a reminder that we can’t afford slow starts if we want to challenge for the league title. A valuable lesson learned!
A massive well done to all the boys for their resilience, teamwork, and fighting spirit! Let’s build on this momentum and keep striving for excellence!
BelmontWanderers”*
Wanderer’s Word: A tale of two halves! The U13s showed incredible character to turn a sluggish start into a dominant victory! Bailey, your composure from the penalty spot was ice-cold! And Leo, what a hat-trick! The boys are on a roll!
Belmont U9 Flames vs Toros FC
Final Score: Lost 3-1
Player of the Match: Alfie
Coach’s Summary: *”Here’s a significantly improved match report, focusing on positivity, detail, and an engaging tone:
Belmont Wanderers U9s Show Grit and Determination in Thrilling Encounter with Toros
What a fantastic display of heart and resilience from our Belmont Wanderers U10s today! Facing a tough challenge right from the start with only six players available before kick-off, the boys showed incredible spirit. A huge thank you to the Toros coach for their sporting gesture in agreeing to a 6 v 6 match β a testament to the true spirit of youth football.
After a quick team talk to fire them up, the Wanderers took to the field with determination etched on their faces. The opening minutes were a thrilling back-and-forth affair, with both goalkeepers kept busy. Toros managed to break the deadlock with a well-taken goal inside the box, but this only seemed to galvanize our young Wanderers!
The team responded with relentless pressure, dominating the final third and earning a flurry of corners and kick-ins. Finally, the pressure paid off! Charlie whipped in a dangerous corner that caused chaos in the Toros’ penalty area. After a scramble, the ball landed back at Charlie’s feet near the corner of the box. He unleashed a magnificent strike, a powerful curler that soared into the top left corner of the net, leaving the keeper with no chance! A truly spectacular goal to level the score on the stroke of half time!
The second half mirrored the first, with both teams battling hard. The coaches urged the boys to push for a winner, and they responded with wave after wave of attacks. The Toros’ defence and goalkeeper were put under immense pressure, with several nervy moments as the Wanderers hunted for that elusive goal. Unfortunately, Toros’ ability to rotate fresh players ultimately proved decisive. Olly made a heroic goal-line clearance, but the ball unfortunately fell back to a Toros player, who slotted home to make it 2-1. Despite their valiant efforts, the Wanderers were visibly tiring. The Toros continued to press, and with our players running on fumes, they managed to score a third goal in the dying seconds. The final score: 3-1 to Toros.
Despite the result, the coaches and parents were incredibly proud of the team’s performance. Every single player left everything they had on the pitch. Special mentions go to:
- Parents’ Player of the Match: Alfie! Alfie put in an absolutely amazing display of defending, showing incredible awareness and commitment. He also showcased his attacking prowess, driving forward with skill and determination whenever the opportunity arose. A true all-around performance!
- Coaches’ Player of the Match: Jacob! Jacob was a rock at the back, often finding himself as the sole defender. He worked tirelessly to thwart the Toros’ attacks, making crucial tackles and interceptions. A truly fantastic effort under immense pressure.
Every one of our six warriors deserved something from this match. This was, without a doubt, the best they have played as a unit, showcasing teamwork, resilience, and a never-say-die attitude. The scoreline doesn’t reflect their effort! Well done, boys!
BelmontWanderers”*
Wanderer’s Word: A heart-stopping performance from the U9 Flames! Playing with only six players, they showed incredible grit and determination! Alfie, your performance was truly inspiring! A tough loss, but a performance to be proud of!
Belmont Falcons U11 vs Ledbury Town FC – U11 Rovers
Final Score: Won 2-0
Player of the Match: Eric
Coach’s Summary: *”## Belmont Falcons U11 Soar to Victory Against Ledbury!
What a fantastic performance from our Belmont Falcons U11 team today! From the very first whistle, the boys displayed incredible strength and determination, dominating possession with a relentless high-pressing game. Their hard work paid off in the first half when they carved out a well-deserved lead!
A special shoutout to Eric, our outstanding goalkeeper, who was a rock between the posts! He pulled off some truly breathtaking saves to keep Ledbury at bay and ensure we went into half-time with a precious 1-0 advantage. The team celebrated Eric’s great work as they went in for their oranges.
The second half saw Ledbury come out with renewed vigour, putting our Falcons under pressure and enjoying more of the ball. But our boys weren’t fazed! They dug deep, maintained their high-pressing intensity, and it paid dividends. A loose ball was seized upon, and a fantastic run down the right wing followed. Our winger delivered a stunning cross, perfectly placed just in front of the Ledbury keeper. With the ball bouncing just in front of the keeper and Ledbury unable to clear the danger, our ever-alert striker, Oscar, pounced, smashing the ball home for Belmont’s second goal! The crowd roared as the team celebrated.
With just 10 minutes remaining, the Falcons showed true grit and resilience, holding off a determined Ledbury side to secure a well-earned victory. This was a true team effort, showcasing the Falcons’ spirit, skill, and never-say-die attitude.
An amazing game, boys! We are incredibly proud of you all.
