What a start to the game Belmont Wanderers Lionesses pushed and pushed. This led to Lads Club panicking and not being able to make tackles. Within 5 minutes Belmont went 1-0 up with a great goal from Mila.
Belmont kept pressing and closing down not allowing Lads Club to have the ball for long. The keeper made a mistake allowing it to roll out in the middle of the pitch just outside her box. Where Poppy was unmarked, she kicked it and we all watched it roll in.
Belmont Lionessess were now 2-0 up. Lads Club soon found their footing and pulled some goals back. Making it 5-2 to them at half time.
Second half we struggled with the distinction from our keeper. This led to some easy goals for Lads Club. With that in mind Belmont did not stop and managed to score another goal from Mila.
This was by far the best team and individual performances from all the girls. They have never scored this many goals in a game this season. So they should be proud and we will continue to build and create chances.
We have identified areas we need to work on and will do this through training. Well done to everyone.
